Rick Knight

The only way to describe the intensity and excitement exhibited by Rick for fishing, is to compare it to  Christmas.  Picture a child covering their head at night to make sure Santa doesn’t see that they are not sleeping, to waking up at 4am wondering why the grownups aren’t up yet, the anticipation is palpable.  Rick began fly fishing when he was 9, begging his grandfather, Gumpy, to take him to his favorite fishing hole. His dad added fuel to the fire when he bought him his first Winston rod and Hardy reel.  40 plus years later Rick still can’t wait to get out on the water and fish.  Rick has been infusing this same enthusiasm for fly fishing into guiding for the past 11 seasons on Southwestern Montana rivers.  In the winter, he spends his time tying flies, teaching classes locally, and preparing for the season ahead.  Rick has been married for 30 years, has 5 kids, one daughter-in-law, and a grandson.  This is Rick’s dream job, passing on his knowledge and enthusiasm for fly fishing to others.

Stephen Knight

Stephen is the epitome of “turn on a dime”.  From quick maneuvers in his drift boat to spying what the fish are feeding on, he’s your guide.  Like his father, Stephen shares a child-like love for fishing, but instead of covering his eyes when Santa is around, he goes looking for him, making it a game of capture the flag. You can always hear his whoop and holler when a fish is on the line like it was the first time he has ever seen one. Good times for all! Stephen also enjoys time on the river with his wife Nikki, and four-year-old son Ben. From his laughable jokes to his excitable personality, there is no doubt that Stephen enjoys teaching others the ropes of fishing on Southwestern Montana’s great rivers!

Mark Worden

There are very few people that you will ever run into that have been instilled with a love for the sport of fly fishing like Mark has.  This was passed on to Mark by his dad, the late Larry Worden.  Mark enjoyed many fishing adventures alongside his father, which included fly fishing mountain lakes in Oregon, rowing down the Green River in Utah, and drifting the majestic Bow River that flows through Calgary.  With this inheritance worth building on, Mark carries on his father’s enthusiasm for fly fishing as he casts his line on the rivers of southwestern Montana, and looks forward to sharing these gifts with others as a guide, a lifetime dream come true. Mark is also a skilled woodworker, creating custom landing nets to make sure the big one does not get away!  When Mark is not on the river in his RO Tailwater Skiff, he enjoys time with his wonderful grandkids, with his friends, and in the pursuit of helping others.  Viva Esperanza!
